XANTHIC

Xanthic describes something as tending toward a yellow colour, or to one of those colours, green being excepted, in which yellow is a constituent, such as scarlet, orange, etc. In chemistry, the term xanthic refers to something possessing, imparting, or producing a yellow colour, such as xanthic acid, and is also used to refer to something pertaining to xanthic acid, or its compounds.
