Cornaceae is a family of polypetalous exogens consisting of about 100 species of plants, two of which are found in Britain, Cornus suecica, a lowly alpine plant, and Cornus sanguinea, the common dogwood or prickwood. Several plants of this order are of service as tonics and for the cure of ague, and in America the bark of the Cornusfloridaia sometimes used as a substitute for Peruvian bark. Research Cornaceae
