CUCKOO

Picture of Cuckoo

The Cuckoo (Cuculidae) is a family of birds - now almost extinct in Britain. They are noted for their call and laying their eggs in the nests of other birds, the young then calling to be fed by any passing birds. Cuckoos are one of only three species of birds that eat Cinnabar Moth caterpillars.
