LINUM

Linum is the flax genus of plants which gives its name to the family Linaceae. There are about 80 species, herbs or rarely small shrubs, chiefly found in the temperate and warmer extra-tropical regions of both hemispheres. They are distinguished by the flowers having five sepals, five petals and a ten-valved capsule.
