Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris) is a biennial or perennialherb of the family Malvaceae with a spindle-shaped tap root and an erect, ascending or decumbent stem. The basal leaves are roundish, shallowly lobed and long- stalked. The stem leaves are alternate, shorter-stalked, deeply palmately lobed and toothed. The flowers are rose-purple in colour with prominent violet veins and grow in clusters in the leaf axils. The flowers have five notched petals. Research Mallow
