OSMUNDA

Osmunda is a genus of ferns with sori distinct from the leafy part of the fronds, being borne in panicles of thyrsoid clusters. From this habit they are commonly known as flowering ferns. The genus includes the native British Royal Fern (Osmunda regalis) which grows to one metre in height.
