Parsley (Carum Petroselinum) is a biennialherb of the family Umbelliferae with a stout, white, vertical tap root. In the first year it produces a rosette of triangular, tripinnate leaves. In the second year it produces solid, branched stems with alternate, trifoliate, stalked leaves and terminal compound umbels of small, yellowish-green flowers.
