JAMES HARGREAVES

James Hargreaves was an English inventor. He was born in 1720 at Blackburn, Lancashire and died in 1778. A weaver and carpenter, around 1764 he invented the spinning-jenny, only to be attacked by weavers fearing (rightly) that his invention would threaten their employment.
