Willem Usselinx was a Dutch businessman. He was born in 1567 at Antwerp and died in 1647. A Dutch merchant, he planned the Dutch West India Company, which was chartered in 1621, but becoming dissatisfied, went over into the service of Gustavus Adolphus in 1624, and founded the Swedish West India Company, which was chartered in 1626.
