William Pitt was a Whig politician. He was born in 1708 and died in 1778.

William Pitt was an English politician. He was born in 1759 and died in 1806. The second son of the Earl of Chatham, became Prime Minister of England in 1783. He enforced the English navigation acts against the United States with great severity, yet his policy was liberal in the main. He resigned office in 1801.
