JACK PALANCE

Jack Palance (real name Volodymir Ivanovich Palahniuk and also known as Jack Brazzo) was an American actor and former boxer. He was born in 1919 at Lattimer Mines, Pennsylvania and died in 2006. A professional heavyweight boxer of the 1940's, fighting under the name Jack Brazzo, when America joined the Second World War he joined the services, was wounded and on leaving the military became an actor, making his stage debut in 1947.
