John C Reilly is an American actor. He was born in 1965 at Chicago, Illinois. An amateur actor from the age of eight, he trained at the Goodman School of Drama and became a member of the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, before receiving a break into films with a part in the 1989 drama 'Casualties of War'. He is best known as a character actor.
