Raoul Walsh was an American actor and film director. He was born in 1887 and died in 1980. He was originally an actor, but then became a director specialising in tough action stories, he made a number of outstanding films, including 'The Thief of Bagdad' in 1924, 'The Roaring Twenties' in 1939, ' Objective Burma' in 1945, ' White Heat' in 1949, and 'The Tall Men' in 1955.
