Tim Robbins is an American actor, director, producer and writer. He was born in 1958 at West Covina, California. He is renowned for being a member of the Green Party and campaigning against right-wing politics, such as the detention of political prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, which led to him and his partner being banned from the Oscars in 1993, though they were readmitted two years later when they were both nominees.
