In Chinese mythology, Wen Jang was the god of literature. He was originally a scholar and administrator who lived around the eighth century, but disappeared during a battle and was assumed to have been taken to heaven. He was represented as a dwarf with a demon's face and supervised everyone involved with literature, especially writers, students and stationers. He had two attendants: Tien Long who was deaf and Ti Ya who was mute. Research Wen Jang
