BATTLE OF CAMP DEFIANCE

The Battle of Camp Defiance occurred on the 27th of January, 1814 during the Creek War. General Floyd and his troops were attacked by Indians, and repulsed the attack but at such heavy casualties - 22 killed and 147 wounded - that Floyd had to fall back.
