BATTLE OF CHALMETTE'S

The Battle of Chalmette's was one of the fights preceding the Battle of New Orleans. General Jackson, entrenched at Chalmette's near New Orleans, was attacked on December the 28th 1814, by the British under General Pakenham. After severe fighting the British were driven back with the loss of 150 men.
