BATTLE OF FONTENOY

The Battle of Fontenoy occurred on May the 11th, 1745 and resulted in the French under Marshal Saxe defeating the British, Austrian, and Dutch allied forces under the Duke of Cumberland at Fontenoy, a village in the province of Hainaut in Belgium.
