BATTLE OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN

The Battle of Rocky Mountain was a British victory over the Americans on July the 30th, 1780. Rocky Mountain, one of the strategic points of South Carolina, was seized by the British in 1780. On July the 30th 1780 Sumter, with a small force, made an attack upon the post, but was repulsed.
