The Browning High Power Pistol is a 9 mm semi-automatic military pistol designed by John Browning in 1925 and manufactured by FN of Belgium in 1935. It is a recoil-operated semi-automatic pistol with a 112 mm long barrel, which takes a 9 mm Parabellum calibre cartridge from a 13-round box magazine. The Browning High Power Pistol has a Barleycorn foresight which is adjustable laterally and a square notch rearsight integral with the slide. It has an effective range of 45 metres and a rate of fire of either single-shot or 40 rounds per minute. The Browning High Power Pistol has been n service with the Belgian armed forces, most other Western armed forces and in all the armed forces of over 55 countries world wide.
