The Capture of Uskub was a Bulgarian victory over the Serbians, on October the 22nd, 1915, during the Great War. Although she did not declare war on Serbia until October the 14th 1915, Bulgaria had. an army, under General Teodoroff, attacking the south-east frontier of that country three days before, as well as another army, under General Bogatcheff, attacking on the Timok and the Nishava. One part of Teodoroff's forces struck at Vrania, and cut the Nish-Salonica railway on October the 19th. The other part was in two columns; one advancing from Kustendil, captured Egri Palanka, and the other struck at Veles, the objective of both being Uskub. The Serbians were unable to offer an effective resistance. Veles, or Koprulu, fell to Teodoroff on October the 20th. Higher up he took Kumanovo. After a violent engagement, Teodoroff on October the 22nd took Uskub. It was recaptured by the French, on September the 30th, 1918. Research Capture of Uskub
