DESERT FOX

Operation Desert Fox was the air-strike on Iraq by British and American war planes in December 1998 following the alleged non-cooperation of the Iraqi government in the United Nations weapons inspection of Iraq. The attacks were condemned by Russia, China and France and the secretary-general of the United Nations who had been attempting diplomatic channels to avoid deaths.
