GARAND

The Garand or M1 Rifle is an American semi-automatic gas-operated rifle adopted by the army from 1936. It takes a .30 inch M2 round from an 8-round internal box magazine (clip fed) and has a 610 mm long barrel. It has a muzzle velocity of 865 meters-per-second and is sighted to 1097 metres with an effective range of 600 metres. The Garand is fitted with a blade foresight and an aperture rearsight.
