LANDING AT GABA TEPE

The Landing at Gaba Tepe was an unsuccessful Australian operation at Gallipoli in April 1915, during the Great War. Although the Australians managed to land and establish a beachhead, they were contained by a Turkish force of some 20,000 and eight months later were evacuated from Suvla Bay.
