The Probert Encyclopaedia of Warfare

M4A2

The M4A2 was an early design of the American Sherman M4 medium tank of the Second World War. The M4A2 model was armed with a 75 mm gun, 7.62 mm coaxial machine-gun and a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine-gun. The M4A2 was powered by twin General Motors 6-71 diesel engines providing a top speed of 46.4 kmh and a range of 161 km.
