Picture of Negev

The Negev is an Israeli gas operated, open-bolt, selective fire light machine-gun and assault rifle. It is chambered for the 5.56 mm NATO cartridge and is fed from a belt, drum or box magazine and has a rate of fire selectable between 650 and 950 rounds-per-minute. The Negev can be fitted with a bipod, tripod or fired from the hip and can be fitted with a standard 460 mm barrel, or a shorter 330 mm barrel and a rifle magazine for use as an assault rifle.
