The SAFN M49 (also known as the ABL) was a Belgian gas-operated semi-automaticrifle produced in 7.92 mm, 7.65 mm, .30-06 and 7 mm calibres immediately after the Second World War. The SAFN M49 took a 10-round charger-loaded magazine and had a muzzle velocity of 730 meters per second and an effective range of 700 meters.
