The Sexton was a British self-propelled gun of the Second World War. Developed during the later part of 1942, the Sexton was armed with a 25-pounder MK II gun and two Bren machine-guns on a Canadian RAM Mk 1 chassis. It had a top speed of 25 mph and a range of 135 miles. Over 2000 were built, and were used to replace American M7 Priest self-propelled guns in British and Canadian armoured units. Research Sexton
