The Walther P1 is a German short recoil, self-loading, double-actionsemi-automatic pistol developed from the Walther P3 pistol used by German forces during the Second World War. The Walther P1 is chambered for the 9 mm Parabellum cartridge which it takes from an 8-round box magazine. It has a blade foresight, U notch rearsight and an effective range of 50 metres with a muzzle velocity of 350 metres per second. The Walther P1 differs from the earlier P38 in having a light-weight dualreceiver and an improved design firing pin. Research Walther P1
