The ArmstrongWhitworthAW 41 Albemarle was a British twin-engined paratroop carrier and glider-tug aeroplane of the Second World War. They were used in the invasion of Sicily in 1943, the invasion of France in 1944 and the operations at Arnhem in 1944. It was also produced in a special transport model which was used for carrying mail and equipment from Britain to Malta, Gibraltar and North Africa during the war. Research Albemarle
