Flash Gordon is a comedy sci-fi adventure starring Sam J Jones, Melody Anderson, Topov, Max von Sydow, Ornella Muti and Timothy Dalton in a story based upon the comic-strip adventures about an evil alien seeking to destroy the earth and the efforts of a human hero to thwart him. Flash Gordon was directed by Mike Hodges in 1980.
