THE GREAT ESCAPE

The Great Escape is a Second World War prisoner of war adventure starring Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, Charles Bronson, Donald Pleasence, James Donald, James Coburn, John Leyton, Gordon Jackson and David McCallum in a highly fictionalised adaptation of a true story in which a mass breakout from a German POW camp was effected by Allied prisoners.
The Great Escape was directed by John Sturges in 1963.
