AMAZONAS

The Amazonas was a British-built Brazilian torpedo boat of 560 tons displacement launched about 1909 and scrapped some time prior to 1940. The Amazonas was powered by two double-ended Yarrow coal-fired boilers providing a top speed of 28 knots and a range of 2560 km at 15 knots. She carried a complement of 110 and was armed with two 4 inch guns; four 3-pdr guns and two 18-inch torpedo tubes.
