ANZAC

HMAS Anzac is an Australian Anzac Class frigate with a displacement of 3600 tons fully loaded. She has a maximum speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots. Her range is 6000 nautical miles at 18 knots. The ship accommodates 163 personnel including 22 officers. The ship's armaments comprise a United Defense 127mm Mk 45 Mod-2 Naval gun, eight cell Mk 41 vertical launching system for Sea Sparrow surface-to-air missiles, Thomson Sintra Pacific Spherion B hull-mounted sonar, close-in-weapon systems and towed array sonar. Harpoon anti-ship missiles and a mine avoidance sonar are due to be added, along with two new CelsiusTech multi-function consoles. The ship's combat data system is built around the CelsiusTech 9LV 453 Mk-3 combat management system, with Link 11 and SHF Satcom. Weapons control is managed by the CelsiusTech 9LV 453 optronic director with Raytheon CW Mk-73 for surface-to-air missile control. Air search is by a Raytheon SPS-49(V)8 ANZ radar and air/surface search by a CelsiusTech 9LV 453TIR radar. The navigation radar is an STN Atlas Electronik 9600 ARPA. Two triple 324 mm Mk 32 torpedo tubes for Honeywell Mark-46 torpedoes are fitted.
