The Probert Encyclopaedia of Ships

BAHIA

The Bahia was a British-built Brazilian cruiser of 3150 tons displacement launched in 1909. The Bahia was powered by six Thornycroft oil-burning boilers providing a top speed of 28.6 knots and a range of 10560 km at 10 knots. She carried a complement of 368 and was armed with ten 4.7 inch guns; four 3 inch anti-aircraft guns; four 3-pdr saluting guns and four 21-inch torpedo tubes arranged in two twin mountings.
