HMS Blake was a British Tiger Class cruiser of 8000 tons displacement started during the Second World War and launched in 1945. She carried a peace time complement of 796 and a wartime complement of 1000. Four Admiralty 3-drum type boilers provided a top speed of 31.5 knots. Armaments consisted of nine 6-inch guns; ten 4-inch anti-aircraft guns; eighteen 2-pounder pompom guns; eight 40 mm anti-aircraft guns; ten 20 mm anti-aircraft guns and six 21-inch torpedo tubes.
