The Probert Encyclopaedia of Ships

CASSIOPEA

The Cassiopea was an Italian Climene Class destroyer of 652 tons displacement, launched in 1936. The Cassiopea was powered by two 3-drum type oil-burning boilers providing a top speed of 34 knots, and carried a complement of 94. She was armed with three 3.9 inch guns; six 37 mm anti-aircraft guns; two 13 mm anti-aircraft guns; two depth charge throwers and four 18 inch torpedo tubes.
