DIANE

The Diane was a French Diane Class submarine of 571 tons displacement surfaced launched in 1930. The Diane was powered by two diesel engines providing a top speed of 14 knots surfaced and an electric motor providing a speed of 9 knots submerged and a range of 4800 km surfaced. She carried a complement of 48 and armaments consisted of one 3 inch anti-aircraft gun; one machine-gun and eight 21.7 inch torpedo tubes.
