The Probert Encyclopaedia of Ships

FIUME

The Fiume was an Italian Zara Class heavy cruiser of 10000 tons displacement launched in 1930. The Fiume was powered by eight oil-fired 3-drum type boilers providing a top speed of 32 knots and a range of 5120 km at 25 knots. She carried a complement of 705 and was armed with eight 8-inch guns; twelve 3.9-inch anti-aircraft guns; ten 37 mm anti-aircraft guns and eight 13 mm anti-aircraft guns and carried two aircraft.
