IXB

IXB was a type of German submarine or U-Boat built by AG Weser of Bremen, and used during the Second World War. They had a displacement of 1051 tons and a range of 12000 miles at a 10 knot cruising speed on the surface. The
IXB type submarines were armed with four bow and two stem torpedo tubes and carried 22 torpedoes. 44 TMA mines were also carried and a 105 mm deck-gun. The crew varied from 48 to 56 members.
