The USS John Rodgers was an American Fletcher Class destroyer of 2050 tons displacement of the Second World War launched in 1942. The USS John Rodgers was powered by two General Electric geared turbines and four Babcock and Wilcox boilers providing a top speed of 36 knots and a range of 8000 km at 14 knots. She carried a crew of 353 and was armed with five 5-inch calibre anti-ship guns; six Bofors 40 mm/60 anti-aircraft guns arranged in pairs and ten 21 inch torpedo tubes arranged in quintuplets.
