HMS Lion was a British Lion Class Battle Cruiser of 26350 tons displacement launched in 1910. HMS Lion was manned by a crew of 1085 and powered by Yarrow boilers providing a top speed of 28 knots. Armaments consisted of eight 13.5 inch guns, sixteen 4 inch guns, two 3 inch anti-aircraft guns, four 3 pounder guns, five machine guns and two submerged 21 inch torpedo tubes broadside.
