The Napo was a British-built Peruvian river gunboat of 98 tons displacement launched in 1920 and assigned to the Upper Amazon Flotilla. The Napo was powered by Yarrow wood-burning boilers providing a top speed of 12 knots and carried a complement of 22 and was armed with four 47 mm guns; two 37 mm guns; two 20 mm anti-aircraft guns and two machine-guns.
