HMS Renown was a British battle cruiser of 30750 tons displacement launched in 1916. HMS Renown was powered by eight Admiralty 3-drum type boilers providing a top speed of 29 knots and a range of 3650 miles. HMS Renown carried a crew of 1205 and was armed with six 15-inch 42 calibre guns; eight 4.5 inch dual-purpose guns; twenty-four 2 pounder anti-aircraft guns and sixty-four 20 mm anti-aircraft guns.
