The Probert Encyclopaedia of Ships

SPEEDY

HMS Speedy was a British Halcyon Class fleet minesweeper of 875 tons displacement of the Second World War launched in 1938. HMS Speedy was powered by two sets of 3-cylinder compound engines providing a top speed of 16.5 knots. She carried a complement of 80 and was armed with two 4-inch anti-aircraft guns and five smaller guns.
