The Probert Encyclopaedia of Ships

VENTURE

The Venture was a Royal Canadian Navy auxiliary three-masted wooden training schooner of 250 tons displacement launched in 1937. The Venture carried a diesel engine capable of 7 knots and a range of 1600 km, a complement of 40 including 24 boys under training and provisions for 30 days at sea.
