ARBROATH

Arbroath is an ancient seaside town in Angus, Scotland. It was made a royal burgh in 1599 by James VI and had become a major trading and manufacturing centre by the 18th century and is today an important fishing port and visitor resort. In 1320 the Declaration of Arbroath was signed here by Robert I, establishing Scottish independence from England.
