ARGOS

Argos was a city in ancient Greece at the head of the Gulf of Nauplia. It was a cult centre of the goddess Hera and according to legend the port from which Jason sailed on his quest to find the Golden Fleece. Modern Argos is a small market town built upon the site of the original ancient city.
