CINCINNATI

Cincinnati is a city in Hamilton County, Ohio, USA. It was founded in 1788 by Patterson, Denman and Filson, of New Jersey, who had purchased land from the Scioto Company in 1788. The village was laid out in 1789 under the name of Losantiville and received its present name in 1790. It was incorporated as a city in 1814 and severely damaged by a flood of the Ohio river in 1883 which left over 50000 homeless.
