CNIDUS

Cnidus was an ancient Dorian settlement and city of Caria in Asia Minor. Its ruins still exist in a fine state of preservation. Temples, statues and tombs have been discovered and identified. In 394 BC the Persian fleet defeated the Spartans off Cnidus.
